Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We have less than two weeks left in the legislative session. I wanted to give you an update on my fuel tax transparency legislation.
House Bill 1633 would make the posting of our fuel taxes on gas pumps permanent law. It passed the House by a vote of 92-2.
Unfortunately, the chair of the Senate Transportation Committee has decided not to move the bill.
Our citizens deserve transparency. People already know what taxes they pay on most services, and it should be no different when it comes to fuel. Click the photo below to watch my video on the issue.
